I've been doing little things here and there, like polishing the rest of the frame, and selecting body colors. I think I'm going to go with a bright, metalic, medium green... What do you think?
Air compressors are a gift from God! Roll-lock disks and a 90 degree die grinder make quick work of these material removal chores (it's almost kinda fun!) Rubbing off the tank stickers and polishing under a braquet that was removed was quite easy with this new tool! |

It realy helps to own a plastics fabrication shop when you need to make those pesky body part repairs! Both of these repairs were made with solvent welding tecniques I use everyday. The joined materials are nearly as strong as original and much stronger than fiberglass or bondo repairs! The only bondo used here will be high quality polyester filler (NOT BONDO!), and that will only be a skim coat no more than .050" thick!
This is the shade of green I was thinking about, Whadaya think? |
